Donate!
People’s Place is a non-profit human service organization and, therefore, must rely on grants, donations and fundraisers. The agency receives state, federal and foundation grants as well as private donations. Item donations are always needed (see below), but due to storage space we often have to turn down large quantities. Furniture donations are also often needed and if we cannot use them immediately, we suggest other alternatives that allow us to secure the furniture at a later date. Donations, whether of items or money, help free up other funds for the budgets of our eleven programs.
Monetary donations allow us to purchase exactly what is needed at the moment in our various programs. People’s Place holds two fundraisers each year. The People’s Place Gala is in the fall and includes a silent auction. Donations for the auction are always appreciated. The Choral Breakfast is held in conjunction with the People’s Day event on the first Saturday of December. Sponsorships in many increments are available for both events also. Attendance at these two events shows your support of the agency and you’ll have a great time at both.
All donations are tax-deductible. For further information regarding monetary or items donations, the People’s Place Gala or Choral Breakfast please call Brenda Beissel, Public Relations Coordinator, at 302-422-8033, ext. 183.
